GILCHRIST & FIELDS
Kimberlyn and Jasmine started their namesake law firm, Gilchrist and Fields, to provide quality legal representation and help guide people who are going through difficult situations. They are based in Wichita with plans to expand to Virginia soon.
For this project, we are creating a new brand and website that will help establish their business as a trustworthy and approachable law firm.

LOGO REVISION #1
This is my favorite brand mark design because it compliments your logo so well. Even though it is a “monogram” style, It’s unique enough that people will be able to recognize it as your firm mark.
The extra detailing in the letters create that courthouse column effect that you liked in the first design.
The lettering is gender-neutral but the diamond accents give it a feminine touch and subtly symbolizes the scales of justice – there are two diamonds to represent both of you. The diamonds won’t always be used with the mark though, depending on where it’s placed on a design.
Although it does not obviously incorporate the scales of justice, that’s what will make it stand out from a sea of other lawyer logos using the same icons!

A CLOSER LOOK AT THE BRAND MARK
The secondary brand mark (referred to as a submark) will include text in the final design (like your business name or tagline around it.)

LOGO REVISION #2
This brand mark is a classic, traditional design that gives off a luxurious, timeless vibe. The intricate detailing on the lettering is powerful and makes a statement.
The design above the lettering acts as an abstract version of the scales of justice so the average person won’t immediately be able to tell that’s what it is – but that’s okay.
The “scales” can be emphasized to hang over the lettering if the design calls for it.

LOGO REVISION #3
This brand mark is basically the same design as logo option 1 from the first round. I used Kimberlyn’s drawing to simplify the column/lettering so that the GF initials were more visible.
Below there are alternate versions of the brand mark using different letters if you prefer one of those styles better.

LOGO REVISION #4
This brand mark is a geometric version of the drawing Jasmine sent. It does not incorporate your initials in it so it acts only as a symbol/illustration of scales of justice, sword, and column.
I did try recreating the exact design Jasmine drew on the computer but it just didn’t “flow” right with the overall design – almost to simple.
Below there are alternate versions of this design with your initials as the scales if you prefer one of those options.

WHAT TO DO NEXT!
Once you’ve reviewed your logo revisions please comment on the task in Asana with the design you like the best and any feedback you have. If you chose a concept that has an alternate design you like better, let me know!
