THE SOUTHERN NOBLE CO. DESIGN PROCESS

All Southern Noble Projects are customized to meet the specific needs of your business and therefore each design process is inherently unique! 

CONSULTATION + DESIGN STRATEGY

After your initial inquiry, we will schedule our consultation via phone or video call - If you are in or near Columbia, SC I would love to meet with you in person! This meeting will give us a chance to get to know each other a little better and see if we are a good fit. You will be able to ask me questions and get my feedback on your business needs and I will get to learn more about your project. After the consultation, I will follow-up with a short design proposal that outlines what we discussed and the project details.

BOOKING

If we hit it off and you decide to book my services, I will send over the formal contract with details of the project, terms and conditions, time frame, and cost. All contracts are e-signed, for your convenience. After everything has been approved by you and you've returned the signed contract, you will receive an invoice for the 50% non-refundable deposit. At this time, payment is due to hold your spot in the Southern Noble queue. Payments are made through 17Hats and all cards are accepted.

CLIENT HOMEWORK

This is where the fun begins! You'll get to create a secret Pinterest board and start collecting ideas and inspiration for your brand and website. I'll send you a series of questionnaires and worksheets that will help guide me through the design process and you'll also discover that it serves as a great business tool for you! Don't worry, not all the homework is due at once. While it's true that I will do all of the creative work, it's important to understand that it'll only come to life with your help.

DESIGN + CREATE

Probably the best part of the process is seeing your ideas and visions come to life. Typical Workflow:

  • Primary Logo Concept
  • Alternate Logo Development
  • Brand Elements
  • Brand Board
  • Print & Digital Collateral Items
  • Website Layout + Design

POLISH + DELIVER

The process will start to move more quickly at this point and it's super important that we communicate efficiently - I'll ask that you get back to me with revisions and decisions within 1 day of each deliverable. This quick communication allows me to move forward in the design process and gets you your finished product sooner! For branding clients, your final payment is due at this time. All files delivered in popular formats and shared via dropbox or google docs, depending on client preference. Web clients will receive a link to view your test site, any minor revisions can be made at this time (larger revisions should be taken care of during the design + create phase; further revisions are billed at my hourly rate of $45)

INSTALLATION + LAUNCH

For web clients, final payment is due at this time. Once your payment has been made, your website will be uploaded onto your server. Once any last minute tweaks have been made and we troubleshoot any issues, you are ready to launch! You will get a 30 minute tutorial with me, where I walk you through how to use your new site. You will also receive a PDF and a recording of our tutorial, so you can reference. Additional tutorial time may be purchased.
